What a wonderfully satisfying banquet of roller derby we've had at the first day of the
Women's Flat Track Derby Assosciation 2008 Western Regional tournament, the Battle Royale,
hosted by Houston Roller Derby.
Still, perhaps we just have room for some dessert. How about topping off the evening with a delicious slice of
(2W) Rat City Rollergirls and
(7W) Tucson Roller Derby? Rat City got a bye in the preliminary round while
Tucson qualified for this quarter final bout by winning the second preliminary bout against Dallas.
The winner of this bout will advance to the semi final round and also qualifies for
the national championship tournament, the Northwest Knockdown, Nov. 14-16 in Portland, Oregon.
