Here is a confrontation that is becoming a classic in the post-season roller derby world. The originators of the sport, the
Texas Rollergirls from Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington's
Rat City Rollergirls.
The most recent previous meeting of these teams was in the 2007 national championship tournament where Rat City defeated Texas in a semi-final
bout. This bout promises to be a hard fought bout between two teams at the top of their games and the sport.
What a beautiful way to close the second day of competition at the
Women's Flat Track Derby Assosciation 2008 Western Regional tournament, the Battle Royale,
hosted by Houston Roller Derby. A meat-and-potatoes American classic.
